He will probably be best remembered for playing Lewis in the Revenge Of The Nerds films, and perhaps to a younger generation as Lizzy McGuire's dad. Personally, i absolutely love his 70s output, from Mean Streets (1973) to The Big Red One (1980), and pretty much everything he did in between.

American actress Jennifer Runyon passes away at age 65 after losing her battle with cancer.
She co-starred in To All a Goodnight (1980), Up The Creek (1984), and The Falcon And The Snowman (1985), as well as a leading role in TV sitcom Charles In Charge, but perhaps her best-known role was the bit part she played in Ghostbusters, in which Dr. Peter Venkman favors her over her male companion during an ESP test.

I'm sorry to hear that. I know how it feels though. I lost my own dad in July 2024, and my mom followed suit in March 2025. They were both in their eighties, but still.. And even though it's been a year, to me it feels like it happened three weeks ago.

Thanks, Johnny. It must have been tough to lose both in such a short time. My mother has memory problems and she´s living in care home so no calls from parents anymore, it feels crazy.

Wow.. lately, this thread is going way too fast
I'm still bummed out by the news of Chuck's passing yesterday, and now i've just read about the loss of Nicholas Brendon.
And i can add one more to the list : Australian horror filmmaker Jamie Blanks died unexpectedly earlier this week. He was 54.
Blanks directed Urban Legend (1998), Valentine (2001), Storm Warning (2007), and the remake of Long Weekend (2008).
