Dave Ball, who formed synth-pop duo Soft Cell along with Marc Almond, has died aged 66.
Soft Cell still performed live as recent as two months ago, and they had just completed work on their latest album entitled Danceteria.

Jamaican musician Jimmy Cliff from The Harder They Come (both the song and the movie) passed away at age 81.
And American adult film performer Jeanna Fine, who started her career in the mid-80s, died last month at age 61.

Former Scorpions bassist Francis Buchholz passed away at age 71 after a battle with cancer.
Buchholz was part of the band's classic line-up, and played on such mega-hits as Still Loving You and Wind Of Change.

Dutch hardcore techno DJ and producer Bass-D (Eugenio Dorwart) passed away on either December 29th or January 2nd. (reports seem to vary).
At 18 he entered the DMC Dutch DJ Championships in 1991 and made it through to the finals. In the mid-90s he was one of the founders of the -still famous- Masters Of Hardcore record label.
I actually met him a couple of times, and at some point even bought a batch of records off of him (which he signed with a graffiti-like tag, so they still bear his mark to this day !). The few times i met him he always came across as very friendly.
No cause of death has been made public, but he still did multiple DJ gigs throughout November and December. Whatever it was, 52 is way too young to leave this planet.
