Director Penelope Spheeris cast real punk rock kids to play the roles of T.R. (The Rejected) family. She believed that it would be easier and more realistic to use genuine punks as opposed to actors.
The scene where Razzle (
Flea) shoots a cockroach with his catapult cost the film $50… apparently it was a specially trained cockroach with own trainer!

The abandoned houses were houses bought by the state to be demolished for the construction of the Century Freeway to LAX. Those houses were left like that for many years before they eventually build the freeway.

of a movie floating about on cable, tv or video etc. Other times, a Director may
release a special cut of the movie.
