Eric Johnson is so clean you could eat your dinner off his fretboard. That was awesome. I wish I had that Strat.

Eric Johnson´s "Cliffs of Dover" is a classic tune.
Very talented dude.
I first heard it when i bought the "Guitar´s Practicing Musicians vol 2" cd back in 1991.

Some great guitarists there. Billy Sheehan played for David Lee Roth for a while too when he embarked on his solo career.

Gotta add Billy Gibbons in here, even though he was already awesome long before the 80's.

So many awesome songs to choose from, but this would still have to be one of my favs to crank up loud:
ZZ Top - "Delirious"

And always loved the Crying Guitar in this classic slow jam:
ZZ Top - "Rough Boy"

I'm gonna throw Kirk Hammett and Adrian Smith to the mix.

They produced some of my fave guitar solos throughout the ages and no list of top guitarists would be complet without them.

For me the Dave Murray and Adrian Smith Iron Maiden album's have some amazing guitar work.
Take The Trooper for example.

Also Dave Mustaine from Megadeth, the Spider Chord is great.
