hi guys, can anyone help me here, the film is
of course from the mid-80s i think, and william
baldwin and the girl that plays wayne's girldfriend (geeky one bike crash! lol) star in it
and the story is about them two being involved in a weird relatioship (she pursues him and he gets mental) she ends up killed (murdered) he's taken
to court they can't prove nothing and he's let free...i can't forget the bar scene where the song <self control> by Laura branigan can be heard...
any info is appreciated...

that would be TV movie The Preppie Murder (1990) [Smile]

As MassiveRetaliation already pointed out, it is indeed the TV-movie "The Preppie Murder". It was based upon a true incident that took place in New York's Central Park in 1986.

William Baldwin played the part of Robert Chambers, Jr., in the title role. Lara Flynn Boyle played the doomed girlfriend, Jennifer Dawn Levin.

Last month, the real-life killer Chambers was released from prison after serving 15 years. Jennifer Levin's family are, to say the very least, most unhappy about his release.
