Sad to hear of the passing of Lenzi, who created a subgenre, and Hillerman, an outstanding character actor. Gone but never forgotten.

Not sure if he deserves to be included in this thread.. but for what it's worth :

Countercultural hypocrit (among many other things) Charles Manson has died, finally ! Manson was 83.

Well, at least he provided inspiration for countless books and films throughout the past 5 decades or so.

Director Ulli Lommel passed away at age 72, RIP.

I like The Boogey Man and remember liking The Devonsville Terror too which desperately needs a rewatch though.

Lommel was a weird director who had artistic pretentions but did exploitation films. He had talent but sadly went on to make worse and worse films after Boogey Man and Devonsville. Actually my favorite of his films is quite obscure: BrainWaves (1982). It looks great, has Suzanna Love's best performance, and you get, as a bonus, a coked-up Tony Curtis playing a mad doctor. If you haven't seen it, check it out.

Also :

Rance Howard, father of Ron and Clint Howard, and a respected actor in his own right, passed away last week at age 89.

Rance had been working in the movie- and TV industry for over six decades. His acting credits include Cool Hand Luke (1967),
Chinatown (1974), Battlestar Galactica (1978), Joe Dante's Innerspace (1987) and The 'Burbs (1989), as well as guest starring
roles in pretty much every American TV series you can think of ! He also played bit parts in most films directed by his son Ron,
from Eat My Dust (1976) and Cocoon (1985) to Apollo 13 (1995) and A Beautiful Mind (2001).
