Miracle Mile Trivia
We believe the following trivia is all legit. If it's bogus or you have additional info, please update us.
Rewind ArchiveThere is an actual area of LA known as "Miracle Mile" and, of course, it was used as a location in the movie.
Thanks to Johnney PerkinsBrian Thompson who plays a small part as the weight-lifter / helicopter pilot, is in a true unsung hero of the 80s. Always charismatic, he's in a ton of films from 84's "The Terminator" to "Three Amigos", "Fright Night 2", "Three Fugitives" and "Cobra", to name just a few...
Thanks to Mike JohansenAnthony Edwards attended San Marcos High School in Goleta, California where there is a plaque commemorating him and was a good friend of "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" co-star Eric Stoltz. Kathy Ireland also attended school there but her and Anthony did not know each other at the time.
There is also a San Marcos High school in San Marcos, California. In 1988, the busses that were supposed to go to the one in Goleta to pick up the graduating seniors for Grad Nite at Disneyland went to San Marcos High school in San Marcos instead. The seniors ended up going the following night. Perhaps the school should be renamed "Goleta High School", as Goleta has no Goleta high school.
There's often fake stuff floating round, y'know? -Like the 'ghost boy' that can allegedly be seen in "Three Men And A Baby".
But, nothing bogus that we know yet for "Miracle Mile".
