The only song used was "Mr. Sandman" by the Cordettes. The song was used in the first Halloween and played again as Michael's body burns at the end of this film. The song plays a prominent role in another film franchise of the 80's -- the "Back to the Future" films.

An interesting continuation of the John Carpenter composed creepy film score. With the second film still set in the late 70's, but released in 1981, some of the heavy synthesizer work is a bit much, but, the Michael Myers theme is still one of the simplest and yet scariest themes ever.
