Stacey Peralta worked as a second unit director, directing the skating sequences. Peralta co-managed the Bones Brigade team in the 80s (thus the reason why Hawk, McGill, Cabellero, and Lance Mountain got to do stunts).
Bones Brigade skater, Tommy Guerro was paid $500 a day to teach
Christian Slater how to skateboard. But, according to Hawk, Slater was never really interested in learning.
80s pro Natas Kaupas was a stunt double for Slater, particularly when he ollied into the back of Tony Hawk's pizza truck and skated with socks pulled up over his shoes.
Legendary Bones Brigade/Powell Peralta skater Mike McGill was the stand in skater for all of Christian Slater's ramp and pool tricks. Slater's character even sported McGill's board.

Due to the food poisoning of McGill, skateboarder Jozsef Atilla (uncredited) performed Slater's stuntwork during the scene near the end, in which Slater skateboarded throught the window.
The ramp that Brian Kelly skates after learning about his brother's death, is Lance Mountains personal backyard ramp, and can be seen in many Powell Peralta skate videos.

Deleted Scenes
When movies are made, scenes are often
left on the cutting room floor.
Sometimes, there will be several versions
of a movie floating about on cable, tv or video etc. Other times, a Director may
release a special cut of the movie.
