When Richards is led into the Running Man gameshow, he is well cuffed.. The scene cuts away for a split second before the dancers tear off his overall.. surprisingly he has no cuffs on.

When Richards and his friends run down the hallway to leave the "tube landing area" and enter the zone, you see a poster/sign saying WELCOME CASTROL GTX RACING FANS. Clearly the scene was shot at a stadium/coliseum that was hosting a real life race/competition.
