So Valley "What Does It Take To be So Cool"... You Goof From The 80s:

You had to think Ronald Miller and Cindy Mancini went to the Prom and did "The African Anteater Dance" to celebrate. -Only Cindy M knows fer sure.

You solved the Rubics cube.....by peeling off the stickers.

You wore biker shorts under your skirts or shorts and felt stylish.

Two Initials and One Word: M. C. Hammer

You thought it would be great to have a friend named "Boner" - we call him Noms or Rhodes now.

You remember When it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons. - Ronnie is still waiting for "Scooby Doo meets Sonny & Cher" to come on again.

You played the game "Mash" with friends at school. - Muffy played it last night and put in Grems info just in case you wanted to know.

You know the profound meaning of "Wax on,Wax off". - Tres was that in "Karate Kid" Part I or II, or do you even know since you think it's the same movie?

You wanted to be a Goonie. - JLP it is time to confess ya know.

You always wore fluorescent, neon if you will, clothing. - Quicksilver Rules!

You can remember what Michael Jackson looked like before his nose fell off.

You still get the urge to use "NOT" at the end of every statement you make. - right Jules ? NOT!

You remember Hypercolor T-shirts and if you're Isis you still wear them.

You loved Howard the Duck, even though he looks alot like McFly.

After you saw Pee-Wee's Big Adventure you couldn't stop saying "I know you are
but what am I?" - Tequila!...oops that's Earth Angel's mating call

You remember "I've fallen...and I can't get up!" and thought it was the same woman that did "Where's The Beef!"

You remember going to the skating rink and dreaming of making out with a dude as cool as Valley .

You never got seriously injured on a slip and slide

You loved the look of Parachute Pants and Legwarmers - and Sam knows where to find them.

You knew not to mix poprocks and soda (but did it anyway!) because Goofs love to live dangerously.

You remember breakdancing along with TKO while watching the movie "Breakin'" - The Coolest Goofs still do!

You wore black Reeboks and can still remember when Isis puked on them after riding "The Beast".

You remember watching "Gremlins" after Midnight then wondering what they tasted like. - Only GremlinForBreakfast can really answer that though.

You remember Jordan riding bareback and front on a horse and wonder what was wrong with Matthew Modine. - That might be a guy goof thing..but you get it.

After watching "Top Gun" you wanted to be a fighter pilot because they got all the chicks. - Another guy Goof thing just for my wingman Kash .

You remember Alf, the little furry brown alien from Melmac.

You remember seeing Van Halen in concert, not that ripoff Van Hagar - Eddie Wilson you wish.

You remember Vicky the Robot and thought..how annoying.

You remember the beginning and The End of New Kids on the Block. - Or like Lupa you go...who?

You remember Michael J. Fox in his double life of "Family Ties" and "Back to the Future" and kept chanting "WOLF, WOLF, WOLF" for some unknown reason.

You knew all the words to Bon Jovi's "shot through the heart" song.

You had to believe Randy & Julie were the most tripendicular couple ever and they totally loved each other. - Right C.T.?

You remember when the 80s was all about the movies and not this Valley Shenanigans. - Rock & Wizard would agree.

Finally, you really believed in the statement "DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY"...because as a Goof you knew the 80s would last forever. [Big Grin]

And Then Some! [Wink]

I think you need to retitled this thread to:

What Does it Take to Be Such a Goof??

How about watching the show LOST....because your hoping that it is the long awaited return of LAND of the LOST....or else...your just DOPEY. [Big Grin]

New Kids on the Block, I know who they are. [Razz]

They dressed up as women and did skits and--Oh wait, sorry. Kids in the Hall.

Funny stuff, Valley! I wish I were as cool as you. [Wink] You know ALL the moves.

One typo...

M.C Hammer didn't hit it big until 1990. You might have to do an edit.

Thanks for the acknowledgement, though.

Isis, I believe you, but The Terminator isn't NEARLY as scary as Junior or Jingle All the Way. [Wink] But perhaps you could teach him a few moves once you guys get over that whole "you stalking him" thing?

I Like to believe that RANDY & JULIE are still together [Smile]

You can tell Randy & Julie really like each other look at the way they was looking at each other the whole movie. It all started with the first time they saw each other at the beach.. Now that's what i call love at first sight. Let's fast-foward to the 2nd time they saw each other which would be the VALLEY PARTY that RANDY did'nt wont to go to. This is called FATE and i'll tell you why? Randy did feel like going to the VALLEY cause he knew what type of crowd would be there. NOT his type but...Fred probably talk Randy into going and who knew?... Who knew what you may ask?... Who would have known that the girl Randy saw at the beach and propably had been thinking about all day was going to be at this party. SMALL WORLD HUH? and then he sees the same girl from the beach at this party (wonder if Randy knew who she was right away) cause Julie did'nt know who he was with his clothes on. This is a higher force that has brought them together i tell you. So after they speak to each other and realize that they had seen each other before that's were the fireworks begin. Let's fast-foward again to the 3rd time they saw each other. By this time Randy & Julie have had a wonderfull conversation and they both realize that they like each other but Randy has been escorted from the party VALLEY STYLE. So you would think that this is the end of the road for Randy & Julie and that they might not see each other again because of the circumstances. But Randy had to go back to the party were he was just escorted from. It's a must that he gets back to that party where he knows that the girl of his dreams is at. That is the "Power Of Love" calling him to go be with Julie. Randy gets back to the party and sneaks his way back into the house and find a place to hide until he can speak to Julie again so he choose's to hide in the bathroom not a bad idea. So after waiting and waiting Julie finally comes into the bathroom. As Julie is putting on her lipstick she has a slight sad/puzzled look on her face like she is thinking of Randy and what might have become of them if Tommy had'nt interfered with ther conversation. If only Julie could see Randy one more time. But guess who's behind her as Julie turns around she is shocked and surprised but very happy cause it is Randy this is behind her. And this begins the journey of RANDY & JULIE. SORRY for going into left field VALLEYCAT but when somebody starts to talk about the love between RANDY & JULIE i kinda of lose it [Smile]

AWESOME POST VALLEYCAT!!!

C.T. I feel for you, the love of Randy and Julie gets to me too, in more ways than you can ever know.

Lupa-It is him stalking me, you have it confused.

Earth Angel-We know your not a drunk, but if you hang around Valley too long you might become one. [Wink]

Muffy life doesn't always turn out as you expected it to, but keep goofin' because it only gets better with us around. [Karate Kid]

Well Rock I must disagree, I clearly, hmmm at least as well as Earth Angel does most nights [Wink] , remember jamming in the clubs to "Turn This Muther Out" by M. C. Hammer in the late 80s fer sure.

Isis, Have An Awesomely Goofable Day!

Okay, I'll give you that, but he was still rather small potatoes back in the 80s. It wouldn't be until the Dark Times when he became the infamous success/bankrupt gangsta/now-a-preacher we know him as today.

Valley, how did you know that I used to say that all the time? [Wink] I am so glad that I have the rewind today to communicate with people. I have bronchitis and I have laryngitis and I can barely talk, and when I do, people can't understand what I'm saying. It's times like these that you really appreciate things. Thank goodness for the rewind!! [Big Grin] [Wink]

Isn't it neat to communicate without having to talk, that's the freakiest part about the Rewind to me.

I know. The best that I can do right now, is to whisper. So, I kind of have to save my voice. Plus when I talk, nobody can really understand me very well. They have to listen really good. But on here I can type and everyone can understand me.................I think. [Wink] [Big Grin]
