1998's "The Avengers" was supposed to be one of the most anticipated blockbusters that year. It was based on the cult 60s British TV show of the same name and starred Uma Thurman, Ralph Fiennes & Sean Connery.
But something went wrong along the way due to poor test screenings, where it was cut down from its original running time of 115 minutes to only 88 minutes, got hammered by critics, earned a resounding thud at the box office and was named one of the year's worst films.
Has anybody ever seen it before? If you have, what are your thoughts about this adaptation?
