I was talking to Valley about this movie the other day...I forgot about it...but it actually is a more current Disney movie that I really loved when it came out. My son was really little then, and I had high hopes that Disney would keep making good animated movies then.

I haven't seen it in a long time...did anyone else think it was good for a animated movie??

I thought it was a great animated movie--They even made a cartoon based off of it about Hercules when he was young, but my favorite character was Meg so I didn't care.

For me this is the last of the line of masterpieces of the Disney Renaissance. The downhill stretch that regretably continues to this day started after this one (although Tarzan managed to hold its own as a good one). It was a good spin on the tale (and with a cameo by Scar too. Haunting.), and the Hydra sequence is among the best I've seen, even if the concept of offing the Hydra's heads, despite its centrality to that particular one of Hercules's adventures, isn't really in the best of tastes for the intended audiences. No big problem, though.
