We’re seriously considering a mountain wedding instead of a traditional venue. We love nature and want something peaceful with open views and minimal decorations. Just the two of us and a few close friends. Has anyone here done a mountain wedding before? Wondering what kind of planning is involved and if it’s manageable without being there in person.

We had our wedding in the mountains of Georgia and it turned out exactly as we imagined. It was quiet, beautiful, and very personal. We worked with local planners we found through https://leto.wedding/ who knew the area well and helped us choose a spot with easy access and amazing scenery. They also handled permits, transportation, flowers, and even helped us with weather backups just in case. I’d definitely recommend working with someone on the ground if you’re planning from abroad.

Mountain weddings have been on our list too. We want that natural atmosphere and simplicity. My biggest concern is the setup and making sure guests are comfortable without turning it into a full-on resort experience. Still researching locations that balance views with basic infrastructure.

I attended a friend’s mountain wedding in the Caucasus last year, and it was magical. The ceremony was held at sunset with the peaks in the background, and the simplicity made it even more special. They rented a small lodge nearby so everyone could stay together, which solved the comfort issue and made the whole experience feel like a weekend retreat. If you find the right spot, it’s absolutely worth it.
