Summer Girl was a decent evil babysitter tv flick.
What makes it interesting is the fact that two future Better off Dead actresses are in it.
Diane Franklin and Kim Darby

Also starring Barry Bostwick and the kids David Faustino and Laura Jacoby.

It´s a familiar story:
The babysitter manipulates the kids, seduces father and drives the mother (almost) crazy.

This movie and "The Last American Virgin" are the reason I can't fully appreciate "Better Off Dead" for the classic that is for most. Diane Franklin is adorable in "Better Off Dead", but memories of her other movies are always close by...

I remember this one. Diane Franklin can do no wrong in my book. And it was funny seeing little "Bud Bundy" as one of the kids.


the pic on the front of the box is HIDEOUS! Thats supposed to be Diane Franklin??? Its like they morphed her n Gene Simmons!

I really want to see this...i've never even came across it before. I've loved Barry ever since I saw Rocky Horror and I always see him as BRAD unfortunately haha

I once won money from my older sister because we were sitting in a nice restaurant talking about this new man she was dating and she said he looked like Barry Bostwick (did I spell it right at least?!) and she was naming movies Barry Bostwick had been in and I said "...and ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW" and she said "What drugs are YOU on? He wasnt in ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW!". We called my oldest sister -who has seen ROCKY HORROR at least a hundred times- and said "Whose Brad?" and she said "Barry Bostwick". BOO YAH! Ten bucks richer!

And I love those babysitter from Hell movies too! Even the bad ones (Like that one with Patty Duke and William Shatner as the parents and Stephanie Zimbalist as the insane "SITTER"!)

LOL, the front cover looks kinda like Roseanne Barr circa 1989.
