It would have to be iron maiden.
Loved Faith no More as well although not strictly metal.

Exactly. I hope this dosen't offend anyone, but Rap is the worst music ever. I don't know why people listen to it. To be cool these days, you have to put a big exhaust tip on your import 4-cylinder and blast some rap from your stero. Thats dumb.

I think that you are leaving out some great bands just because they my have started in the 70's. Kizz still rocked inthe 80's, so did Ozzy, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and for a good girl group there was Vixen.

KISS is great-- so is Whitesnake and AC/DC... The music scene nowadays *is* really really terrible. I look at channels like Mtv(that used to be good) and just laugh at the stupidity>

I saw a lot of bands back then. I think my hearing is not the same because of it actually. Certain freq bother my ears now. I wouldnt wear earplugs back then. Anyway, I saw during there height. Bon Jovi (on there first tour), Scorpions (love at first sting tour), Judas Priest (Defenders of the faith tour), Iron Maiden (Piece of mind and Powerslave), AC/DC (Flick of the Switch), Ozzy (tour after Bark at the moon), Triumph, Cinderella (Night Songs), Ratt (Reach for the sky), Twisted Sister (Stay Hungry tour), Dokken (tooth and nail tour) Van Halen (1984 tour) David Lee Roth (Eat em and smile toure)and others.

Love all of them for one reason or other. I saw others i cant remember right now. Now if you ask me technically who was good it would be in this order of technical.

1. Iron Maiden
2. Judas Priest
3. Ac/Dc and Dokken and Cinderella (about the same)
4. Motley Crue and ozzys band at that time
