I really liked this movie...In fact, I will have to rent it again one day soon, cuz bad timing on my part I started watching it around dinner time and ended up in and out of the kitchen for some of it - but what I saw I enjoyed immensley!

Like I've stated all throughout these Breakdancing Theater reviews, iw as NOT a huge fan of these movies when they came out and hadn't seen...well, ANY of them. I got just as much joy - if not MORE - out of watching KRUSH GROOVE as I did BREAKIN' (which I had a ball watching!)What this movie had that BREAKIN' didn't was a calvacade of familiar faces! RUN DMC were in it! THE BEASTIE BOYS and LL COOL J (although I must say their parts were two short - they should have been allowed to perform the WHOLE version of She's On it and I Can't Live Without My Radio!)! SHEILA E! KURTIS BLOW! THE FAT BOYS (who I have never been a BIG Fan of, but still - they were more amusing in THIS than DISORDERLIES)! NEW EDITION (Awwww...look how little they were! Aren't they CUTE?!)
The soundtrack was great too with stuff I knowvery very well (Tender Love, Love Bizarre, Kings Of Rock) to stuff that just managed to radiate a small spark because I could vaguely remember it from when I was a Child In The '80s (KURTIS BLOW and the "My Secret" song by NEW EDITION)
Okay...now ...the STORYLINE? Well, yeah....its one of those "we gotta raise money"-"we gotta Make It Big" things....and thats been done to death, but like I said- the movie is so full of familiar 80s faces and tunes and great performances (the singing and dancinng, NOT the acting!) that you won't care.
I would definately recommend this to anyone who loved The '80s or loved BREAKIN' and I hope to watch it again some day soon!

My Score: An 8
