My partner just bought the Scanners trilogy box set, and I watched the first one today. I'd never seen it before, and all I knew about it was that some guys head explodes! I didn't even realise it was a Cronenberg film!!
After watching it today, I have to say I really enjoyed it. The horror had more sci-fi in it than I expected, in fact I'd classify it as full sci-fi and not horror at all.
Tonight we will be watching Scanners 2 and 3, which I'm told are quite good. What do you guys think of these films???

Love them I enjoyed 2 and 3 even more than the first. There's a 4th and a 5th also called Scanner cop and Scanner Cop 2. They're not as good but still worth a watch.

We just finished #3... it was a really interesting story, but most of all I enjoyed the terrible acting and cardboard sets!

I just got Scanners... Haven't seen it in like, 15 years... Now I HAVE to watch it...
