Can anyone help me find out the name of a movie i used to watch as a kid, i don't remember much it was sci fi, it involved a motley crew of what i can only describe as freelance freedom fighters and i think they were trying to protect a boy and they were at war with either aliens or robots and at the end most of the group are killed in a battle, they use laser guns i think, there was a girl in the group with long curly brown hair and a rugged good looking bloke ran the group in fact i don't know if they all got killed and they had a spaceship that someone escaped in and they were definitely robots like stormtroopers but different and there was loads of action scenes and i remember a hangar being involved at some point and they were killed trying to get out of somewhere and back into the hangar - might have been a rescue mission - it might have been set on earth with the group coming from outer space i just can't remember but i need the title so i can buy it again - can anyone help

Can't argue with that. Loved it as a kid, less impressed now (Krull syndrome?) The cast look like they're having fun though. I was surprised to see over on the IMDB that it had a nine million budget. I don't believe it!
