I was at Future Shop today (its the Canadian version of Best Buy)...And I noticed they released a new Childs Play boxset ...The second such boxset and also the second one to not have the first Childs Play in it...Any reason for this?...Curious

Usually because of the company that released the movie. It might not be the same as the rest (See Friday the 13th 1-8). That's the only thing that I can think of.

That happened to me too! My husband was at WALMART near his job and he called me to see if I wanted anything. I had remembered the kids wanted to see CHILDS PLAY so I told him to look for it. He found a box set with CHILDS PLAY II, CHILDS PLAY III, BRIDE OF CHUCKY and SEED OF CHUCKY in it! All I wanted was the first one (I already have BRIDE OF CHUCKY). Weird, huh?

Check Future Shop they have it there 2 for 20 bucks

I ordered CHILDS PLAY used copy off AMAZON for $5! So I'm happy. i've never been a huge fan of it but the kids have been perstering me to let them watch it for Halloween. My daughter's friends range from ages 8-13 so i always have to have a few Horror movies in the house they can watch. I usually make them watch DEADLY FRIEND or TROLL but this year they are DEMANDING CHILDS PLAY!

The four sequels are owned by Universal.
