Hi all been vetting this site for a long time and have finally decided to join all you 80's junkies...anyway!

Two words MONSTER SQUAD I was fortunate to catch this on SKY a month or so ago and after hearing so much about it was really looking forward to it!

However I do not believe time has been to kind to this particular movie as I felt really disappointed by it what made it worst was the fact that the visuals and sound where pretty shocking, Yes I know its due out on R1 officially at the end of the month and no doubt will be cleaned up but it just was not as good as I had been led to believe a big let down!

Anyway just venting spleen!

Oh on a similar topic has anybody seen GHOST CHASE, now that was a pleasant surprise and does not seem to be credited on here!

Hi Mire Mare, good to meet you.
I think monster Squad was shown by channel Five around the time you say. It's a great movie and popular around here, I haven't seen much of the actors since though.
If you have Sky you might have caught Ghost Chase on Zone Horror, maybe a couple of years ago, they showed it a few times, I should have burned it to dvd, as mine is an ex-rental.
The song 'Imagination' is great as well, as is the film.

Hi Mire Mare (what does that name mean by the way?). Thanks for your offer but I'll probably pick up the dvd of Ghost Chase at a later time.
I don't think you'll be disappointed with Killer Klowns From Outer Space, it's pretty cool and very different. John Vernon has a great role in it as the grisled cop, Mooney, he's just too funny.
Ghost Chase is awesome, I like Jill Whitlow alot as well, the actress who plays Laurie (http://www.geocities.com/jillwhitlowfan/). You maybe be familiar with two other of her movies Twice Dead and Night Of The Creeps. - [

Hi James I do love a good comedy Horror and the 80's had some of the best with the likes of Fright Night 1/2 & Return of the living dead 1/2 setting the standard for this particular genre, so if anybody has any recommendations that they think can equal the viewing pleasure of the above mentioned then please let me know!

I just saw yesterday that Monster Squad has a 20th anniversary edition. That would be worth adding to my collection. Does anyone already have it? What are the extras?

It's out on DVD July 23, 24, something like that. I preordered mine from Amazon. There's supposed to be cast and crew interviews, and supposedly a bunch of other "extras." It's one of my favorite movies, so I had to get it! It's a really reasonable price, too.

Ok just watched Killer Clowns and I have to say I was a little disappointed, I don't know maybe I expect to much!

Bearing in mind the movies I have already mentioned FRIGHT NIGHT, RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, VAMP as being amongst my favourite does anybody else have any recommendations!

I have just ordered Night of the Comet any good!
