I am watching this and there is something that I have always wondered about it. In the opening reunion scenes Peggy Sue is reacquainted with a friend from high school, Rosalee, who is in a wheelchair. Does anyone know what the significance of this is?? I mean when she goes back in time she is no where to be seen. I have seen this so many times and don't think I have missed anything on this but I could be wrong. Did anyone else recognize this from the film?

Okay according to the IMDB message board for this film, Rosalee was a gymnist who fell and hurt her neck. While in the past, Peggy tried to get her to stop or to becareful but it didn't work. She tried to change a lot of things, or encourage people to invest in certain companies.

WOW, thanks so much Jim for the info, I guess others were curious about this too. I haven't checked out imdb.com on this particular one. I guess if I did I could probablly find out a lot more about little tidbits like this from different movies. Thanks for the info! [Wink]

Jessie, "Peggy Sue Got Married" is a terrific movie. I have always been intrigued with time travel and this movie is right up my alley. I've said this before, but my favorite part is when she gets to talk to her grandmother on the phone. That is freaky to me, but way cool.

This movie deals with fate. While it would be neat to go back in time and possibly change something.....you still may have to deal with fate. Or even better, what if the thing you change that you think is awesome, turns out to ruin your life in the long run. Just food for thought.

I love Peggy Sue Got Married. I like to pull it out when I'm sad and it helps cheer me up.
