I noticed that California's Griffith Park is featured in at least 3 movies here on the Gateway.

The observatory was transformed into Deca Dance in "Earth Girls Are Easy".

The Griffith Park tunnel served as the NORAD entrance in "WarGames" and the entrance to Toontown in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".

What is it about the locale that drew and draws filmmakers to work there?

When I move to California, I hope to go there for a visit.

Any thoughts on Griffith Park?

Sincerely,

John Edward Kilduff...the rock steady flamethrower

The 1987 version of "Dragnet" was also filmed there.

Guess it's something about it's size and building structure perhaps.
