I started watching it this afternoon. It is definately oozing with 80's fashion. It is like a really bad Romance novel. It stars Phoebe Cates. I never saw it in the 80's, but I always wanted to because of Phoebe. Me and my mom are watching it, and the story line is a pretty far stretch...but it is interesting enough. The 3 women in it aren't even good looking- Bess Armstrong is ok looking, but none of them look beautiful enough to be Phoebe's mother.

It is about 3 women going to an all girl school, I think within the same week, they all sleep with different men- all of them were the first time, and 1 of them gets pregnant-and they knew it could have happened to any of them, so they make a promise to keep it a secret, and go through it together, and you never know which one is the mother....I guess Lili (Phoebe) didn't have such a great childhood, and she figures out that one of them is her mother, but doesn't know which one, so she lures them all to her by doing something to each one of them to kind of blackmail them in to coming to her.

I have Lace II also, I guess it is about her finding her father. The previews with the fashion and everything make me want to watch it, and I miss mini series.

I saw a preview for The Thornbirds-The Missing Years, I never knew there was a sequel to it, Rachel Ward isn't Meggie, it is Amanda Donahue-and she is no Meggie, so I have no desire to watch it, Richard Chamberlain is in it too.

It is weird when you see previews for a sequel that was made a long time ago, and you never even knew it existed.

Has anyone else seen Lace, and what did they think of it?

I have seen that around but haven't ever had the opportunity to watch it. Is Lace worth a look at?

I actually ended up liking Lace. I didn't think the 3 women were even very attractive to be Phoebe's mother. But, it had something about it that keep me watching it. I guess it was the set locations. Pagan-the one girl, she falls in love with a sheik, and it has that Indiana Jones kind of feel to their love story, and the other girl has this beautiful home she restores, cause her husband owns a vineyard. I like those kind of movies that have beautiful scenery and beautiful houses. I like seeing people all dressed up. Plus, I love movies about friendships, where people have really close bonds, and the 3 women in this movie were tighter than any relationship I have probably ever seen.

I need to watch Lace II. They replace Bess Armstrong in it with Deborah Raffin. I have never seen it yet.

It played on the Oxygen Channel, but I don't get that channel around here.
