I hope someone can help. I'm trying to remember the name of a film I remember as a child. It is about a boy who has a cuddly toy dinosaur, green with big purple spine plate things. The dinosaur talks to him and helps him I think. I'm not sure if the cuddly toy actually comes to life or not but it definitely talks to the boy.

Please help, this is driving me crazy!

No, its definitely not that, I know its along similar lines, but the teddy bear is a dinosaur, not a dragon, and it doesn't get bigger, it stays teddy bear sized!
