Looking for comments or posts about anyone who reminisces now and then about Friday nights with the Vice. Pink pastels and light neon green with sky blue jacket and shoes with no socks. Glen Freyy and Phil Collins and Don Johnson. This show doesnt deserve to be forgotten. Especially the pilot episode. I recently rented it on video and was amazed at the bristling intensity of Don Johnson and the seriously brooding presence of Edward James Olmos.

Yes, I remember Miami Vice, it was a great show. I watch it every once in a while, the reruns come on TNT. My best friends cousin used to be an actor, and I remember he played a bad guy on one of the episodes. During the early 80's I also watched Fantasy Island because I also had a cousin, Arturo, who used to be an actor, and he had a part as one of the visitors to the islands son. He was only around 12 at the time. I remember being really dissapointed when he told me the show was actually filmed in L.A. and not an island (this seemed really boring to me because I was raised in L.A. and it was just home, not an exotic island). But anyways, yeah Don Johnson was really hot and I love the black Ferrari. The 80's rocked

I loved Miami Vice. Especially all the star cameos and the cool 80's music. My two favorite episodes are the one with Iman, who turns out to be the cross-dressing killer and the one where Sonny's wife played by Sheena Easton gets shot on stage. Miami vice is like crack to an 80's junky like me.

Miami Vice was a truly inspired series - at the age of 12/13 I was obviously at an impressionable stage - and my impression was I wanted to wear pastel suits, carry guns and look mean and moody while driving down the coast - to be honest, I still want to do that now.
The soundtrack was immense - and to this day I am still a huge fan of Jan Hammer, the composer who hit big with 'Crockett's Theme'.
Michael Mann is simply a class apart - the closest you could get to 'Vice' recently would have to be 'Heat' - another crime drama reeking of style and cool.
Fond, fond memories of the show - I'll struggle to find anything as good.
