I was just wondering what everyone's opinion was on the best 80s Christmas film? The list is long but distinguished:
A Christmas Story
Christmas Vacation
The one with John Lithgow as a mean guy--sorry I don't know the name of it and Dudley Moore is in it I think
Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas--more of a tv special

Anyone have anything else to add?

I'm a sucka for Christmas movies (at the right time of year of course).
My faves include:
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
It's A Wonderful Life
Gremlins (yes seriously)
Scrooged
A Muppet Christmas Carol (who's carol).
And I have to say that I love watching old black and white movies at that time of year too.Theres just something seasonal about Cary Grant comedies and Hitchcock thrillers. [Big Grin]
Can't wait.....!

I love A Christmas Story! I can pretty much watch that any time if year. I also like Home Alone, even though it's not 80s. [Smile]

I love The Charlie Brown Christmas special. I have it on video. But yet...if its on TV...I'll still stop what im doing and watch it. I also love A Christmas Story. They sometimes marathon it and my husband goes nuts because I'll watch it about 3 times. I think its funny! and not just on a kid level...its funny on an adult level. About the only thing my husband likes in that movie is the leg lamp. we just got a catalog that sells it and he's teasing (I HOPE) that he's going to buy it. I said "For the basement?" and he said "No..the front window". Well, anyway: if any of you want the leg lamp: www.whatonearth.com
