Hey everyone,

We all know the ’80s gave us some legendary blockbusters like Back to the Future, The Breakfast Club, and E.T.—movies that still get talked about today. But I’ve been revisiting some lesser-known films from that decade, and it made me wonder: which ’80s movies do you think deserve way more attention than they ever got?

For me, one example would be Streets of Fire (1984). It’s stylish, has a killer soundtrack, and feels like a rock-and-roll fairy tale, but it never seems to be mentioned alongside the classics.

I’d love to hear your picks! Which underrated or “forgotten” ’80s movie would you recommend to someone who thinks they’ve already seen it all from that era?

Great topic! I would have to say one of the most romantic movies that doesn't get talked about much is Fire with Fire. The chemistry between Joe and Lisa is amazing.

Also another completely comedic gem is Making Mr. Right with John Malkovich. It was one of my first introductions to him and he is absolutely hilarious in the dual role of straight laced doctor and naive android.
