I thought I asked about these years ago but couldn't find my questions. I started wonder about these once again.

All I remember is a scene where a guy is in a cage outside (jungle or a remote place) and another guy is inside a house about to attack a woman (sexually). The atmosphere reminds of Mosquito Coast. The man in the cage is raging because he can't defend the woman or something.

Haha: I started describing another movie but now I got it: Batteries Not Included (1987). It might be almost 30 years since I saw these.

Shy People (1987)

Powerful film from Andrei Konchalovsky (Runaway Train) with a phenomenal performance from Barbara Hershey.
The rape victim is Martha Plimpton (of The Goonies). Jill Clayburgh and Don Swayze co-star.

Congrats to Johnny for cracking this one! It really must be Shy People.

Like i said in a review many years ago, it´s a powerful film and i love the Louisiana bayou scenes which are breathtaking, all that beauty and all that trash.

The Tangerine Dream soundtrack fits perfectly.

Not sure I've seen this film, doesn't ring any bells. Tried looking for it to buy or streaming but no joy in the UK, its available on Amazon US site, might have to fire up the VPN and get US prime.
