"The son of Torren learns of his heritage, goes to avenge the deaths of his fellow villagers, and rescue his sister/love interest from the evil Dakkar and his spider cult.
Ator battles giant spiders, swordsmen cloaked in shadow, re-animated dead warriors, and horribly hideous witches." (IMDb)

Haha, this was sympathetic and fun Conan the Barbarian rip-off written and directed by by Italian director Joe D'Amato, under the pseudonym David Hills.
The movie stars Miles O´Keeffe, Sabrina Siani, Ritza Brown, Edmund Purdom and 70s exploitation star Laura Gemser.

This is however far from exploitation. We can see some swordfights but it feels more like a family feature to me.
Siani is pretty as always and surprisingly keeps her clothes on as does Gemser. The acting is subpar but isn´t it always in italian rip-offs. That´s part of the charm.

I liked the training sequence, the Amazon women tribe, the cute little bear which saves the day at least two times and the giant spider which, i believe, couldn´t harm a two year old.
Three sequels were made and now i want to find them. Fun stuff!

O´Keeffe and Siani taking a break
