I just cannot hold it in any longer. My dad won the Kansas Hot Lotto and registered the ticket today. It is official that his take home was 2.24 Million dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is absolutely unbelievable that someone from a very small town could win something. He chose to keep it anonymous even though the whole town basically already knows. He wouldn't have his picture taken to be put on the winners wall. I am just constantly jumping up and down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't keep it in any longer!!!!

Oh my God Jessie, that is such wonderful news!!! Congrats to your family. Money doesn't solve problems but it certainly provides a little more peace of mind. This is an amazing blessing!! Yay!!!!!

Thanks so much!! We are wanting to take all of the kids on a cruise or something. Anyone got any good locations????? Good vacation spots?? Especially for kids..

Congrats! There was a 19 year old kid (man I'm getting old)here in NC whose mom sent him to the store for cigarettes and he decided to take a chance at the lotto. He won $800,000. A local truck driver won $4 million here several years back as well.

Tell your Dad to get a good financial advisor...the statistics for lottery winners going bankrupt is really high, because they just blow the money.....a couple million seems like a huge amount of money...but it can be spent really fast...so be sure that he invests it the right way...then you and your family will be set for life.
There was a guy in my home town who hit the lottery....he got over 2 million too...and he's broke...it only took about 10 years...he bought a store and sold 4-wheelers and snowmobiles...but he had no knowledge on how to run a business, and he lost everything.
My own Aunt did the same thing, she inherited millions...and they wasted it and spent it on crazy stuff...and it can add up fast...it took her about 15 years....but they blew it and now they are having their home foreclosed on...so it might seem like a ton of money...but over a period of time it can be spent...so make sure you make good choices, so your set.
But...do have some fun along the way.
