i did watch sphere yesterday after watching it i vaguely remembered seeing it a while ago pretty good movie with great actors they all looked pretty young especially sharon stone does anyone know the year of this movie? i am thinking late 80's? dee

Sphere was actually 1998 which is 11 years ago.....wow it is really scary how fast the years go by. Just think, it has been 20 to 25 years since most of our fav 80's movies were released.

You are so right Valley about the potential of this movie that did not deliver. I can't say enough about the first half of this movie. The suspense build-up, up to the point that they enetered the ship, was awesome and had me on the edge of my seat. Then, they started with all the "Sphere" stuff, which was pretty ok still, but I wouldn't have went in that direction. It became to supernatural....I would have continued more on the story of this ship, where it had been, and the alien race(s) that they encountered. With that said, I still love this movie and it is one of my faves from the 90's.
