I have just remembered another one. Tick-Tocks. These were biscuts that had features like a watch on one side as well as a flavour on the other.

They are still available here. We used to love them when we were kids, if we had 2 or 3 of them, we'd eat them in chronological order!!!

I miss corn dogs, you can't get them here, I tried making some once and it didn't go well. If anyone has a fool proof recipe they can share I'd be ever so grateful. 😁

UK, Wales mate. They do have some in a local supermarket in the freezers but they are poor, tiny little things that taste nothing like the ones in America.

Yes those frozen ones from the store are poor. I had one last April at the huge Sparks flea market in Kansas here in mid America. It was made fresh like at a carnival and it was delicious.

Hi TheHoff, I used to love corn dogs at our local amusement park. I found a recipe and there’s a video with it too. I’ve never made them myself, but I might try it out in the summer.

Thanks Pittsburghgirl, I will give them a go. I've tried some recipes in the past but no idea which ones now, I should make notes.

I made these today, they are OK, a little less flavour than the ones you purchase. The coating doesnt adhere to the sausages as well but they are decent enough but sadly not as good as the ones buy in the parks.

What is missing in the flavor TheHoff. Is it in the hot dog, the outside breaded part or both.

It's the outside breaded part, it's there just a little lacking.

Ive never made corn dogs but i like experimenting. I like the breaded part to be a little sweet. Pittsburghgirls posted recipe had sugar but was it enuff to really notice hoff? If not I think my next attempt would be to add maple syrup and do a test run.
O btw, I made the best green beans on the face of the Earth. Better than moms and Texas Roadhouse

I'll give it a go, I do like a sweet coating.

You can't drop the green beans story and not tell us how? 😁

Ok but don't tell anyone. Dump a couple teaspoons of olive oil in a sauce pan. Dump a can of cut green beans in the pan. Add Hormel soft bacon pieces. Add onion powder, celery salt and cracked pepper. The amount you add depends on your tastebuds.

Thanks, not sure where I am getting a can of cut green beans or Hormel soft bacon pieces from but I'll look around, there are probably some replacements I can find over here but it won't be the same.

So I've had my Corn Dog, Ding Dong and Twinkie fix, just got back from Florida, I love American food.

Actually had a Ding Dong / Twinkie mashup and wasn't feeling it.

Orlando, we stayed in Four Corners area, although travelled around a bit, Clearwater, Kennedy, etc.

We've been there quite a few times so I know the area well.
