Anthing by Tom Holt is highly recommended. He takes a lot of old legends and puts them into hilarious modern contexts...

eg All the Norse gods living in an old folks home in 'Odds & Gods'.

I have also just started reading Choke by Chuck Palhuinik (sp?) and am enjoying what I have read so far.

I tend to like comedy or horror in my books and used to love Terry Pratchett and Dean Koontz equally.

I've always stuck pretty close to Stephen King and Clive Barker. Predictable, I know...but why eat hamburger when you can have filet mignon?!

Also, if you like to mix something erotic in with you're horror try the HOT BLOOD series of books. I was totally addicted to those a few years back.

Other good authors to look out for are Terry Pratchett (comic fantasy, and very funny) or one author I am reading a lot of at the moment : P.G.Wodehouse. He wrote almost a hundred books, all full of wonderful characterisation and humor, based around life for the upper-classes in the 1920s and 1930s. Jeeves and Wooster, Blandings Castle, all excellent reads.

Some are available as free downloads (text and/or audio books) from PROJECT GUTENBERG and scrolling down to Wodehouse, P G

If you like funny books you should try the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. They're really funny.

Right now I'm reading The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly and I just finished Deadly Night by Heather Graham. It was a good spooky-ish book.

Twilight fan here too! I am a littler nervouse about the movie though. I don't think the Edward in the movie is going to be able to live up to the Edward in my mind...we will have to see though.
