This afternoon, I watched Urban Cowboy and Footloose. My Husband always laughs at the end of Footloose. None of the kids were permitted to dance, yet they lol knew these complex dance moves. 😂

Not sure the ending of Footloose would have been very good if they were all "Dad dancing" Posts: 8 | Registered: Feb 2025 | Site Updates: 0

Ha ha, you’re right. And then I read that Chris Penn didn’t know how to dance and had to be taught.

I watched two more this past week. First one was Quicksilver, starring Kevin Bacon, which held a special place in my heart. I went to see it on my first date with my college boyfriend. I hadn’t seen it in a long long time. Well, I hate to say it, but this movie doesn’t hold up anymore. It’s cheesy and predictable. I did enjoy Kevin Bacon, Jamie Gertz and Paul Rodriguez. The girl who played Kevin Bacon’s girlfriend Randi was a terrible actress. Thankfully she only has a couple of lines 😂. I guess it’s worth a watch if you’ve never seen it. I love the theme song Quicksilver Lightning sung by Roger Daltry. Speaking of Roger Daltry, he also sings the theme song from The Secret of My Success, the second 80’s movie I rewatched. The song is “The Price of Love.” This movie was “ok”. I thought the “Aunt” to Brantley was hilarious. It was strange and haunting to see the inside of the World Trade Center and also to see the towers in the background in a few scenes.
