I remember this on TV for a number of years, a good message for War Amps for playing safe. Don't know if this was just shown in Canada or in the US as well.
Looking at the robot, it reminded me of the Styx album cover for Kilroy was here.

I have no idea what War Amps is, but that was really good animation for the 80's.
