I personally own a Jeep Wrangler (very 80's very American) and have been a fan of the Jeep brand for many years, its because of this that I tend to notice whenever a Jeep vehicle pops up on TV or in the movies and it does seem that the humble Jeep has starred in a lot of movies over the years, and I am not just talking about the Willy's/Jeep i.e. the military version that appears in every war movie!

I thought it would be fun if I started a list of all the movies during the 80's that a Jeep appeared in!

For example:

The Burb's: Ray & Carol Peterson own a Beige (Woody) Cherokee.

Fright Night: Jerry and his Manservant own a Black CJ (Correct me on model type)

etc...

Mire Mare,

A bit off-topic...

I LOVE Jeeps! I bought a brand new Wrangler Sahara in 1989. I have missed that truck since I sold it. I'm planning on buying a new Wrangler Rubicon in about 6 months. I'm curious to see who will buy Jeep when Chrysler is parted-out.

Here is a good "Jeeps in movies" website:
