Toto's Rosanna vs. Kool & The Gang's Joanna:

Which do you prefer? Do you think they sound alike at all?

Devolution here,

Not in the slightest. Oddly I don't think I have favoritism towards either of them. I like both of the songs for different reasons.

Rosanna. I hated Joanna. Jessica by ALLMAN BROTHERS was pretty good though!

or...Richard Marx's Angelia?

Have to go with Roseanna; much better rhythm even if you can barely understand what they're singing half the time.

Roseanna was Ok, if a little to boppy, I preferred Africa or 99 to it. Joanna I wanted to like, but it just got annoying to me. So the singer of Toto was singing about Rosanna Arquette? Lucky dude, because he looked kind of like a slob in some of the videos to get a fine lady like that.

'Rosanna'. But 'Joanna' sounds a bit like 'Last Christmas' which trumps them both.

Huge Toto fan here so it´s Rosanna all the way.
The tune was named after Rosanna Arquette but the song itself was not about her.

This sounds funny because almost all the tunes that i´ve heard which are named after females, are good/great [Cool]
And i´ve heard lots of ´em.
