Got this from another forum I subscribe to. Thought I'd enlist the help of the Rewinders. This sounds really familiar but I'm drawing a blank. Here is what the person wrote...

80s video - girl with a gun

Hey there!! Today I saw a video from the 80's and it was a pretty cool song
The melody was like a riff from "No doubt - New" ...with a steady beat and a synth lead
It said "I'll (somethin something)... always in my eyes"

but anyway the video was this girl that had a gun and almost at the end of the video she "fired" the gun and it happens that the gun was a lighter (you know, like a zippo lighter)
Does anyone know who that is?

Please help me, It is a cool song

Really long shot here, but since we're talking girls with guns in 80's videos, could it be Julie Brown's "The Homecoming Queen's Got a Gun"?
