I heard them on the Tv this morning on musicchoice channel 1980s. As I read the notes that accompanied the song it said that one of the members was a Rachel Bolan. Is that a female? I didn't know that Skid Row had a female member??

No Jessie, Rachel is a male. If you remember the group at all, Rachel was the member that had the chain running from his nose to his ear. He was their lead guitarist, i believe.

Dave "Snake" Sabo of Skid Row also had the chain from his nose to his ear if I recall correctly.

Skid Row was pretty cool for their time. I still play Youth Gone Wild sometimes, they brought a bit of an edge to the hair metal scene of the late 80's-early 90's. I just wish all the original members had weathered through the grunge years, and still kept releasing good albums. I had a few chances to see the Sebastien Bach-less Skid Row in the past 4-5 years, but I just couldn't buy into it.

Yeah Skid Row without Sebastian Bach is like Motley Crue without Tommy, Vince, Nikki, or Mick. There's just something missing...
