Which is your favourite soundtrack? I am just listening to the "Lost boys" soundtrack just at this minute. I really can't decide which is my favourite soundtrack, too much to choose from!!!!!

My favourite soundtrack is the theme from Beverly Hills Cop.
Called Axel F by Harold Faltermeyer
Unfortunately Crazy Frog has made a mockery of it.
The original is amazing though. Download it
10/10

WOW there are so many, here are a few in no particular order because that wouldn't be fair:

Valley Girl
The Lost Boys
Footloose
Dirty Dancing
Sixteen Candles--if it was available!!! HINT HINT CD gods!!!!
St. Elmo's Fire
Beaches

Those are just a few that I can think of. I can actually say that I haven't bought any soundtracks for newer films. One of the last ones that I did that I really do like is Shallow Hal. I love "This is My World" from Darius Rucker from Hootie and the Blowfish. When I heard that song in that movie I knew I had to have that one. I can't say that any movie soundtrack has really spoken to me. I wish that the soundtrack for the Mark Wahlberg/Reese Witherspoon movie "Fear" would be awesome, but the song "Wild Horses" isn't even on that one.

So that my thought on that for now!

As far as soundtracks go I would have to go with 'The Lost Boys' (a huge hit when we were at school) and 'Pretty in Pink'. Probably also 'St Elmo's Fire' but then I am rather obsessed!!

As for Soundtarcks there are a few that I love,

Valley Gilr (fer shure)
Bachelor Party
Beetlejuice
Colors
Stand By Me
Weird Science
the Wild Life
Goonies
Streets of Fire
Some kind of Wonderful
Suburbia
Times Square

And some that aren't available like Real Genius, Ferris Bueller and Sixteen Candles only. Also if there was at least a Square pegs soudtrack which there never was sadly.

Dazed and Confused
Detroit Rock City

I know both movies were from the 90's with music from the 70's but those are my two favorites.

Prince's soundtrack to Batman is one I can never tire of. Without doubt this guy was an absolute legend in the 80s, this one couldn't possibly have been done any better IMO. Every track a blinder, great stuff as befits a great movie.

Loved his latest (at the time) duet with Sheena Easton on this one, "The Arms Of Orion"; a classic 80s pop partnership.

Others I like:

Ghostbusters
Scarface
St Elmo's Fire
Flight Of The Navigator

Last of the Mohicans is one of my faves. Is the perfect background music for when you are doing stuff around the house, reading, writing assignments etc...

Also I loved Carly Simon's 'All the Rivers Run' from the Working Girl Soundtrack and 'Nothing's Gonna Stop us Now' from the Mannequin soundtrack but I haven't heard the rest of them so I can't honestly say that i love the whole soundtracks.

I am with Cindy and Ronnie on this, 'Modern Girls' was a terrific soundtrack that is still 'playable' to this day.
