I just downloaded a few songs. I got Cars by Gary Neuman, Back In Black by AC/DC, Moving In Stereo by the Cars and the creepy Exorcist piano theme song... What about you guys?

I have what sounds like a Muzak version of "Helter Skelter" by an old group called the Beatles. It's so bad that I've started answering my phone withing three notes just to cut down on the embarassment. My buddy has one of the phones that allow actual songs. He uses "Wild Summer Nights" from Eddie & The Cruisers.

Cindy, the name of that song is Tubular Bells. My ringtone is "I don't like Monday's" by the Boomtown Rats. On older phones I had a few different things. The Transformers theme. The HeMan theme.

I've got possibly the only 80s song that sounds OK on a monotone phone - The Model by Kraftwerk.

The problem I have with using songs as ringtones is that I very often I miss the phone ringing, because it just blends in with the surroundings (except when walking in a forest with no people around you). So I've gone back to using a very "telephonish" typical sound.

My phone plays Soothing Beach Music and everyone is like that is such an awesome ring.
If I could pick a song to make my ring, it would probably be "If You Were Here" from Sixteen Candles.

JLP there are places to download ringtones all over the internet, however my cell phone is from cingular and you can just go to there website. Pick your new ringtone for like $1.99 and they will download it to your phone number. I just checked it out and wow, they have some cool 80's movie choices.

I would never put an 80's song --- or ANY song that I like --- into my cellphone as a ringtone!
I think it tends to trivialize and degrades my love for a certain song. So, I don't use them.

I think Steven has seen one too many Burger King Commercials. Can you tell I'm still miffed about "Melt With You" getting turned into an ad for a cheeseburger. I haven't eaten at Burger King since that commercial came out.

I used to have Lips Like Sugar, Do They Know It's Christmas, and Tales From The Crypt, but that was when I was with AT&T. Now I'm with Cingular, and they only have the Tales theme, but it sounds like crud.
Cingular has the Bond theme and I want to get it, but just I haven't DL'd it yet.
I would love to have some old Duran Duran, something OTHER than Rio or Hungry Like A Wolf.
Ooohh...I bet there are some cool Depeche ring tones...
