I really liked the soundtrack to "Drive," kind of like Enya by way of Tangerine Dream, though a film buff friend of mine despises it, calling it one of the worst movie soundtracks that he's ever heard because it doesn't fit the action. To each his own, but I think that it has a perfect 80's vibe, much like the hot pink neon font used for the film's credits, and Ryan Gosling's scorpion racing jacket. "Drive" owes a lot to the 80's and the classic Walter Hill film "The Driver" (1978).
