He was just entered into the CMA hall of fame. I am sorry for anyone who is a fan but he is a lousy singer. He wrote some very popular songs, but singing is definately not his fortay.

I agree. His true talent is in his songwriting, not his own singing performances.

I'm not a fan of country, but IMHO, he doesn't belong in the CMA Hall of Fame. Well, maybe as a songwriter, but not as a singer.

I can't say much about his acting credits either. He was *SO* totally miscast in "A Star Is Born" (1976) with Barbra Streisand.
