ok guys, can you lot think of memorable tunes from your fave 80s films?

ive got to pick two tunes! the first is "send me an angel" by Real life! this was in the wizard! (may remeber this when kory is skating his borther down the highway. when they blatently look about 20 years old) and in The dance floor scene to Rad! thsi tune is one of the cheesiest 80-s tunes ive ever heard, and its also one the best!!!

the other is "break the ice" by John farnham! anyone remember him? this is another song of the soundtrack to Rad! the lyrics are as 80s as 80s could be! you gotta love it, no matter how sober, drunk, happy or sad i could be, this tune would always bring a smile to my face

what about you guys? got any other songs that brings back good memories of your ol favorite movies??

Road to Nowhere by Talking Heads is a great song, although I don't think it's very cheesy. I like all the tunes in Little Monsters, though.

I like tunes written specifically for movies, usually named after the movie, like Earth Girls Are Easy and Transylvania 6-5000. Once Bitten had a neat soundtrack too, although it's not one of my favorites. Any tune in Beetlejuice will either get stuck in your head, make you want to dance, or both.

Something by Kenny Loggins, like "Footloose" or even "Meet Me Half Way".
Then there's "Eye of the Tiger", of course, and I also like "It's a Long Road" from First Blood.
(Wow, that's three Stallone-films... please tell me that's a coincidence).
But if it qualifies as an 80's film tune (and I think it should), my favorite is "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life"!

OH and that mystery song in VALLEY GIRL

I dont know who it's song by or what the name of the song is but it's a catchy little song and i always rewind that part of the movie after it plays the song. It's the bathroom scence when Randy is crouching down in the shower.

"Real Life - Send Me An Angel" was used in The Wizard, Rad and Teen Wolf Too, a great tune.

Cheesy tracks from the 80s & 80s films, erm just about all of them [Big Grin] stop me when you've heard enough...

Dolby's Cube featuring Cherry Bomb - Hunger City (from Howard The Duck)
Real Life - Send Me An Angel
the entire Breakin' soundtrack and tracks 1,2,3 & 6 of Breakin' 2
most of Ghostbusters 1 & 2
ok here's a bad one: Lisa Lougheed - Run With Us (theme to The Raccoons)
and another bad one: Harris Joanne - Saved by Science (from Robotech The Movie)
Lene Lovich - Breakin' The Rules - What Do You Do When Opposites Attract (from Tuff Turf)
Marianne Faithful - Love Hates (from Tuff Turf)
Limahl - Neverending Story

Oh there are so many to pick from that to my knowledge you can't even get.

I really loved the love song from The Slugger's Wife Love (It's Just the Way it Goes). Can't find that one anywhere.

I also loved Invincible from The Legend of Billie Jean.

Pretty much loved everything from Valley Girl. I have both of the soundtracks to that one. The Plimsouls rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Right C.T.!!

How about Once Bitten from of course Once Bitten. I have talked about all of these before. They are totally awesome.

I don't know which part of the PLIMSOULS rock more the fact that they were a LA based band or that they actually played some of there real life hit's in VALLEY GIRL. "The Oldest Story In The World" "A Million Miles Away" & "Everywhere At Once" Here's to you Peter Case and The Plimsouls.

Hey JLP937 I'm so green with envy that you have both of the VALLEY GIRL soundtracks. I had the "More Music To VALLEY GIRL" soundtrack but can you believe i left it in a rental car about 4 years ago and i hav'nt found it in the store since. I still get depressed about that from time to time [Frown]

Favorite song from "More Music From Valley Girl" Gary Myrick & The Figure's "Time To Win" this song is so good they used it in the movie too. When Fred was chasing Stacy around the car and Randy and Julie was inside the car locking lips [Smile]
