Has anyone noticed any similarities between the James Dean movie 'Rebel Without A Cause" and "Karate Kid 1"
If you look closely there are little tributes hidden in the movie.
* the obvious one, is Daniel moving into a new neighbourhood where a group of kids won't accept him, like James Dean in Rebel.
* Daniel wears a red windbreaker and jeans- the classic outfit of Rebel without a cause.
*His ex girlfriend was called Judy- which was the name of James Dean's character's girlfriend.
* During the fight on the beach, Johnny says to Daniel "Hey Toro" which also happens during a knife fight in 'Rebel'.
I think there are other little similarities, but none come to mind right now.

How about the car Miyagui gave Daniel, wasn´t that the model James Dean was driven in the car race.
