I just had this thought...I think when Ali's parents didn't like Daniel at first, I think Ms. Mills warmed up a little to Daniel & Lucille, esp. when she saw how open & honest Lucille was & I think Ms. Mills was a little touched by Lucille & Daniel's sweetness. But I suspect Mr. Mills never really warmed up to either one of them & I had a thought of one scene where he's REALLY majorly rude to poor Lucy & hurts her feelings. Just some thoughts I had.

You're definitely right...if you look in the KK II draft script section you can see a scene that was planned where Mr & Mrs Mills are real rude to Lucille...

Yeah, I saw that cut scene; it's too bad that scene was cut. I'm sorry that Lucille wasn't in KK2; that would have been great. I bet poor Lucille was soo embarrassed, then a little shocked, then hurt when Mr. Mills was rude to her.
