Mok was inspired heavily off of Mick Jagger, along with more inspiration from Iggy Pop, David Bowie, and Lou Reed.Nelvana had sent Mick a care package of Mok and Rock & Rule stuff out of hopes of him being onboard for the movie, but instead, the studio was met with a Cease & Desist request, as Mok's last name was intended to be 'Swagger', and Mick Jagger did not take kindly to the parodical caricature of himself.
