Review

Arguably, one of the best teen movies of the 80's and a true comedy classic!

This hilarious, raunchy comedy hit, that spawned two sequels, takes an unblushing look at teenage adolescence in the 1950's. It follows the comic misadventures of six high schoolers whose most fervent wish is to find some sexual satisfaction at Porky's, a notorious honky-tonk strip joint.

Porky's is essentially about a group of six high school students that are always looking for a quick way to score. They decide that one night they would visit Porky's, a strip joint out in the Florida Everglades. Needless to say, Porky doesn't take a liking to them and he doesn't just throw them out of his club, but steals their money (With the aid of the local sheriff) in the process.

This film is about their revenge on Porky. Of course, along the way the gang gets into some pretty good mischief. Leading up to one of the greatest revengeful plots of all time. Reminding everybody... "Get it... At Porky's."

The movie features actors Kim Cattrall (Big Trouble In Little China) and Tony Ganios (Die Hard 2).

Verdict

Literally a legend in its era. Although, arguably, Animal House was the actual "Father" of the '80s teen comedies, Porky's was only one of many exploitation films made to cash in on the popularity of that raucous 1978 film. Porky's was one of, if not the movie that cemented the whole 'teen movie' phenomena...

Well written and hilarious 'father' of all teen movies.
Not for 'high brow' movie buffs!
