In the fight scene at end of movie between Racki and Youngblood, Youngblood pulls Racki's jersey over his head onto his arms, then punches Racki to the ice. When Racki is on the ice he isn't wearing his jersey anymore, then when he gets back up, Racki takes his jersey completely off.

During the final game in the movie, when Youngblood finally gets onto the ice after being sat by Chadwick, when he receives his first pass you see a large blood stain on the front of the right shoulder on his jersey. This stain is actually from a little bit later in the movie when Racki hits him in the mouth with his stick and disappears a few frames later when he is shown again, then reappears after he is hit.

The Memorial Cup, though a real trophy, is not awarded to the winner of a Best of 7 series. Nor, is it awarded to the OHL (Ontario Hockey League) Champion, as seen in the movie. Instead it is awarded to the winner of a Round Robin Tournament hosted by a single team (rotating between the 3 Leagues that make the Canadian Hockey League). With the Champions from the WHL (Western Hockey League), OHL (Ontario Hockey League) and the QMJHL (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League), as well as the Host team participating.
